Seattle Mariners

One of the top prospects in baseball is expected to join the Seattle Mariners on Thursday, according to ESPN.

Jarred Kelenic, who is currently playing for the AAA affiliate for the Mariners, the Tacoma Rainiers, will make his debut on Thursday as Seattle starts a weekend series with the Cleveland Indians.  This was first reported by ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Kelenic was part of the trade that sent closer Edwin Diaz and Robinson Cano to the Mets in 2018.  He’s been a top 10 prospect ever since.

So far, Kelenic  through 5 games with the Rainiers, is batting 409 with 2 HR’s and 5 RBI.  The left fielder is expected to make an impact for a Mariners squad 2 and a half games out of first place in the AL West.
