RICHLAND, Wash. — Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels is getting their van back more than two weeks after it was stolen out of Richland.

The good news is that the 1998 Ford Econoline is still in working condition. The bad news?

Well, according to a Facebook post from Meals on Wheels, the van essentially trashed before it was abandoned on the streets of Seattle.

“In addition to needing marijuana decontamination, our van has broken door locks, tampered steering column, ruined logos/paint, and other issues. In addition, we lost our license plates, our van oven, and 4 cooler carriers, about $5,800 in equipment,” the post says.

The charity jokingly posted photos marijuana plant-filled vans, saying they believe the photos “pretty accurately portray how [the van] looked when she traveled to the Emerald City.”

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Meals on Wheels at 509-735-1911.
