RICHLAND, Wash. –In an effort to create more buzz around town, the Mid-Columbia Beekeeping Association is hosting a beginner beekeeping class this Saturday.

Besides making delicious honey, Bees sustain our ecosystems and produce our natural resources by helping plants reproduce. The class will provide what you need to know in order to raise bees, and answer any questions you might have.

A member of the association, Chuck Monasmith says, “For the four years we’ve been doing it, it’s been a constant learning curve. Because I’m retired I kinda try to keep my head in things. Yes, bees will help save the planet, bees will help pollinate our food, and we can make money selling honey.”

The Class will be held at Richland Church of Christ Saturday, February 29th from 9:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost if $50. You can find more information on their website. https://www.tricitybees.org/
