Milton-Freewater PD: Drunk woman injured after getting out of moving vehicle
MILTON-FREEWATER, Ore. – Milton-Freewater police say a woman suffered a head injury after getting out of a moving car while drunk Tuesday night.
Officers were called to the 900 block of N. Main St. near Freewater Park where they found 37-year-old Amber Rae Richardson lying injured on the street as the 911 caller rendered first-aid.
Her boyfriend Curt Wayne Willard, 58, told police Richardson he was driving her home because she was drunk. She told him she didn’t wanted to home, and she wanted to go drink more.
Willard told police he refused to listen, so Richardson opened the passenger-side door of his Ford Ranger pickup and “either fell out or intentionally stepped out” at about 20 miles an hour, a news release said.
When officers arrived at about 9:34 p.m., they found that Richardson with an apparent head injury. She appeared “highly intoxicated” and was combative with officers and first responders.
She was transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla. Her condition is unknown.
No charges were filed as a result of the incident.
