Mo. state rep. introduces bill to require residents to own AR-15s

A Missouri state representative has introduced a bill that would require every resident between 18 and 34 years old to own at least one AR-15, KFVS-TV reported.

Rep. Andrew McDaniel, of Bootheel, Missouri, introduced the “McDaniel Militia Act” on Feb. 27.

And AR-15 is defined by the bill as “any semi-automatic rifle that is modeled on the AR-15 rifle design by Armalite, Inc.,” the station said.

Residents could be eligible for a tax credit equal to 75 percent of the cost of the gun under the bill, KFVS reported.

According to the Missouri House website, a hearing has not been scheduled on the bill.
