MOD Pizza opens in Union Gap
UNION GAP, WA — For its entire first day, MOD Pizza will be donating proceeds from pizza sales to a good cause.
The pizza chain opened its second restaurant in the Yakima area Friday afternoon.
To celebrate, each dollar made from every slice of pizza will to towards the Yakima Children’s Village.
General Manager Tommy Wilson says he chose the organization because his son Maverick suffers from nerve damage in his left arm, causing movement and growth problems.
Wilson says Children’s Village has provided support and therapy for his son, making it an easy choice when selecting his charity.
“If it wasn’t for Children’s Village, we would not be able to afford the treatment Mav needs,” said Wilson, “I believe a lot of parents are in the same boat, it’s just an amazing place.”
MOD Pizza will be open until 10 p.m.
