More snow showers, bitterly cold temperatures Tuesday -Kristin
Morning snow showers could create more travel problems
The widespread snow has stopped for now. Take your time heading out the door with most roads still covered in snow. With a weak system rotating through the area later this morning (around 8 or 9Am), this will create more snow showers. Within the snow showers, we could see moderate snow with gusty winds reducing visibility. By afternoon, turning drier with sunshine returning. Don’t let the sun fool you, it will be a cold day with highs in the upper 20’s.
A Winter Weather Advisory continues through this afternoon and evening for our Oregon counties and along the foothills of the Blues. A few more inches of snow will be possible with higher amounts in the northern Blues.
A frigid start to your Wednesday with temperatures in the teens and single digit wind chills! A quiet start with increasing clouds and snow chances developing by afternoon and evening. The snow will linger through the overnight hours before clearing out for the commute to work on Thursday. Roads might be slick for the commute to work Thursday morning. Staying mainly cloudy throughout the day with temperatures climbing above freezing, in the mid to upper 30’s.
By the end of the week, we could see a wintry mix developing Friday night into Saturday. Temperatures though will be warming up. Upper 30’s Friday and Saturday. Close to 40 degrees on Sunday.
