Light rain showers developing today -Kristin
Rain showers moving in by afternoon
It has certainly been a windy start to 2020! We will see improvements in the wind today, gusts at times between 10 to 20 MPH.
Make sure to grab your umbrella with a few rain showers developing by lunchtime into the afternoon. A wintry mix is possible along the eastern slopes of the Cascades and snow possible is in the mountains. Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 40’s and low 50’s. Turning drier this evening and tonight.
Back to sunshine on Friday with our winds picking up late in the day/night. Temperatures will stay above average climbing into the mid 50’s in some spots!
Looking ahead to the weekend with more sunshine and staying mainly dry. Only a slight chance for a shower around the Yakima and Kittitas Valley. Active weather will continue in the Cascades with heavy snowfall at times. Be sure to check pass reports if traveling through the mountains both Saturday and Sunday. And look for another breezy day on Saturday with gusts at times up to 30 MPH. Look for highs close to 50 degrees both days.
Mainly dry weather heading into next week with temperatures staying above average in the mid 40’s to near 50 degrees. Snow showers will continue to come down in the Cascades.
