Moses Lake man caught selling meth near school while on federal probation
MOSES LAKE, Wash. — A Moses Lake man was allegedly caught selling methamphetamine while on federal probation.
Christopher Cooper, 38, was previously convicted on federal drug charges but was released from jail ahead of his sentencing.
While out on probation, deputies said Cooper sold meth to undercover detectives on several occasions – at least once near a school.
On Tuesday morning, he was arrested during a traffic stop by the Washington State Patrol and Grant County’s Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET). Authorities found meth in his possession during the arrest.
Cooper is now facing additional drug charges including delivery of a controlled substance, delivery of a counterfeit controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance in a school zone.
He was booked at the Grant County Jail where his bail is set at $75,000. He will soon be turned over to federal authorities.
