Motorcyclist killed in George Washington Way crash
A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on George Washington Way Thursday afternoon. Police are still investigating.
Police received reports of a car vs. motorcycle collision in front of the Richland Police building at about 2 p.m.
A sedan hit the motorcyclist from behind, ejecting the victim off the bike, according to Officer Doug Doss.
The motorcyclist was transported to Kadlec Medical Center and pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash, Doss said.
The road was closed until about 5 p.m. between Knight Street and Swift Boulevard, keeping area traffic slow for several hours, as authorities the cleared the accident.
Names of the persons involved have not yet been released.
