Much cooler Monday; Freeze Warning in effect overnight -Kristin

Freeze Warning

Happy Monday!

After a very warm weekend in the mid to upper 80’s, we will see a big drop in temperatures over the next few days. A dry cold front is working out of the area this morning with the wind picking up a bit. Wind gusts today could be between 15 to 25 MPH. Sunshine will return today, but it will be much cooler with highs in the upper 60’s this afternoon.

A Freeze Warning is in effect overnight from midnight tonight until 9AM Tuesday with temperatures dropping between 28 to 32 degrees. Make sure to protect any sensitive outdoor plants!

Temperatures will slowly climb back above average through the workweek with upper 70’s returning Wednesday into Thursday. Another dry front will swing through the area on Thursday with more clouds and breezy conditions. Most of the rain chances should stay east of the area.

Looking ahead to the weekend with a decent rain chance Saturday into Sunday. With this system, the wind will be a bit breezy at times with cooler temperatures in the upper 60’s Saturday and Sunday.
