New Lexus LF-1 concept previews future designs

Lexus rolled out its latest concept SUV at the 2018 North American International Auto Show Monday.

The car is purely a concept, as many of the features would be difficult to implement in a mass-production vehicle.

That said, there are several clever design ideas in the concept, like the rear-view cameras instead of side mirrors. Those cameras display on small screens in front of the driver and can change their viewing angle depending on the need, like when the driver switches lanes.

In front, the headlights and turn signals light up in sequence when activated, giving the car a distinctive look.

Inside, there are fiber optic lights embedded into the wood and other trim to give the interior a bit of extra sparkle.
