'Fortnite' security flaw made millions vulnerable to hackers

A flaw in the popular online video game Fortnite has put millions of accounts at risk, a software firm said Wednesday.

Check Point Software claims its security researchers found vulnerabilities with Epic Games' website.

Those weak spots reportedly allowed potential hackers to log into people's Fortnite accounts without needing a password.

Check Point claims millions of Fortnite accounts were exposed -- accounts with credit cards on file that hackers could use to make purchases.

Fortnite has over 200 million online users, many of whom are teenagers.

Epic Games says the flaw has been repaired.

The company encourages players to protect their accounts by using strong passwords, not re-using passwords, not sharing account information and enabling two-factor authentication.
