18-year-old victim of semi-truck hit-and-run crash near Pasco says he's ‘lucky to be alive'

Emergency crews responded a hit-and-run on Friday morning, following reports of a semi-truck colliding with a Kia Spectra.

The 18-year-old driver of the gray Kia Spectra was driving on Highway 395 southbound towards Pasco in Franklin County near mile post 40 where the crash happened at about 8 a.m.

The driver tells KAPP-KVEW he was driving in the blind spot of the semi, and when changing lanes the back tire of a trailer the semi was carrying collided with the front of his car.

He tells us this caused his Kia Spectra to spin out, and do a 360 into the embankment on the side of the road. There were no injuries to the driver.

The semi-truck likely has damage to the back right tire of its trailer, and is gray. Anyone with more information should contact law enforcement.
