PORT ANGELES, WASH. (AP) — Two people were found dead in the yard of a Port Angeles home after family members asked officers to do a welfare check.
KIRO-TV reports that deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff's Office were called to the home at about 4 p.m. Monday.
Family members of the people who live there told police they hadn't heard from their relatives since Christmas and were concerned.
Deputies found two bodies in the yard, covered with a tarp and yard debris. They have yet to be identified.
he Sheriff's Office is calling the deaths suspicious and is investigating them as homicides.
As of early Tuesday afternoon, investigators said they had just received warrants to search the property and will now begin processing the scene.
