Asotin County judge accused of sexual misconduct pleads not guilty

SPOKANE, Wash. - An Asotin County Superior Court judge who has been accused of criminal sexual misconduct pleaded not guilty in court in Spokane Monday morning. 

Scott D. Gallina was arrested at the Asotin County Courthouse on April 10. He has been accused of second-degree felony rape, second-degree assault and indecent liberties.

Court documents detail multiple reports from courthouse staff who said Gallina had harassed, assaulted and raped personnel while working at the courthouse. All of the victims were women. In court Monday, a new assault charge was added. Gallina now faces four criminal charges. 

Gallina's case is being handled by the Washington Attorney General's Office and will be heard by Spokane County Superior Court Judge Michael Price. Trial has been set for September 30, 2019. 

Gallina has taken administrative leave while his case proceeds. His attorney, Carl Oreskovich, said Gallina adamantly denies the charges.
