BP offers reward for information on Yakima AM-PM clerk's murder

YAKIMA, Wash. - British Petroleum, parent company of AM-PM, is offering to pay $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a Yakima store clerk’s murderer. The major oil company made the announcement on Tuesday. 

Two masked men with guns entered the convenience store on East Yakima Avenue while Vikram Jaryal, 26, was working there on Apr. 6.

After demanding money from the register, one of the armed robbers shot and killed Jaryal around 2 a.m.

AM-PM already offered a $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. The convenience store also raised money for the victim’s family living in India. Yakima County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward, police said.

The total amount of reward money is now up to $9,000.
