PROSSER, Wash. -- Three people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash on I-82 east of Prosser Thursday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol reports.
The driver was going eastbound when she lost control and went off the road between Prosser and Benton City before 2:45 p.m. The vehicle traveled about 300 feet off the road before coming to a stop on its side, said Trooper Matthew Heck.
All three females inside the vehicle had to be cut from the vehicle with heavy machinery.
One passenger of the vehicle suffered serious injuries that appear to be life-threatening. The driver had a possible broken leg, but she and the third passenger are expected to be okay, Heck said.
Wet weather conditions appear to have been a contributing factor. The cause is under investigation.
As of 4:30 p.m., traffic down to one lane and heavily backed up on I-82 heading eastbound toward Benton City.
