DUI driver injured after rolling pickup on Fourth of July morning

KENNEWICK, Wash. - A Richland man was injured when he rolled his pickup on State Route 240 while allegedly driving under the influence on Fourth of July morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers said Tanner Stremcha, 22, was westbound near the Edison Street exit about 9:37 a.m. when he drove off the right side of the road, hit two signs, and overcorrected to the left and rolled into the median.

His white 2013 Chevy Silverado lost a wheel, which hit a passing minivan. The other driver, a 34-year-old Kennewick man, was not hurt. His 2008 Honda Odyssey sustained some damage but was driven from the scene.

Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt.

Stremcha arrested for driving under the influence. He was taken to Trios Medical Center for neck pain before being booked at the Benton County Jail. Web Portal
