7-Eleven celebrates July 11th with free slurpees

It's National 7-Eleven Day

KENNEWICK, Wa - July 7th is the day 7-Eleven stores across the country reserve special deals for their customers and various items are up for grabs as a way they say 'thank you' it their customers. The small slurpee is often one of their featured items on a hot summer day.

The earliest advertised 7-Eleven Day was way back in 1989 and it encouraged customers to visit their local 7-Eleven to enjoy a free beverage as a thank you.

Did you know, 7-Eleven is considered the first convenient store and began in 1927 under the name Southland Ice Company.

Good Morning Northwest is getting in on the fun. The store is offering free Slurpees of any size to customers that come by the store on Clearwater from 5:00 AM - 7:00 AM.
