Freezing rain causes thousands of power outages in Walla Walla County

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Pacific Power customers in College Place and Walla Walla are still experiencing power outages due to freezing rain yesterday and overnight Saturday morning.

According to the electric provider, roughly 10,000 people in Walla Walla County had no electricity early Saturday morning.

Crews have have gotten that number down to 1,296 customers with 210 different power outages. 

The majority of customers are expected to regain electricity by 6 p.m. tonight. 

Pacific Power encourages customers to call 1-888-221-7070 if their power is still out after 6 p.m.
