YAKIMA, Wash. - A 26-year-old man accused of stabbing a man in the lower back outside the Sunshine Motel in Yakima is scheduled to appear Monday afternoon in Yakima County Superior Court.
Rocky J. Fogler, 26, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault after police say he stabbed a 28-year-old man early Sunday morning.
The 28-year-old was riding a bike down the hallway of the motel with a woman toward their room when two men came out of a room and attacked him, according to court documents filed by Yakima police.
The woman told police she hit the man who stabbed the victim in the face with a coffee mug and then took the victim to the nearby AM/PM because no one at the motel would let them use a phone, court documents said.
Police say the 28-year-old’s wounds were not life-threatening.
