YAKIMA, Wash. - On Saturday Yakima Valley College hosted its 8th Annual Engineering for Kid’s Day, where children were able to explore the world of science.
Over 500 people attended the free event that started at 9 a.m.
Children were able to build things using marshmallows and pasta, walk over slime and even painted with soap.
Engineering Instructor Rajkumar Raj said the event has been growing over the years.
“The biggest hit at the event has always been the slime walk, kids just enjoying walking in slime,” said Raj.
The main purpose of the event is to make science fun for children of all ages.
