Pasco domestic assault suspect leads police on nationwide manhunt

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. - A Pasco man led police on a nationwide goose chase after blowing off his trial for domestic assault in Franklin County.

Police searched addresses all around the Tri-Cities trying to track down 42-year-old Francisco Gonzalez. He was supposed to be tried on Nov. 29.

After some investigation, police learned Gonzalez had caught a Greyhound headed for Georgia earlier this week. They issued a nationwide warrant for his arrest and the chase was on.

When the bus stopped in Salt Lake City, local law enforcement missed him. It stopped again in Denver, then Kansas. Still no luck.

Gonzalez made it to a relative’s house in Georgia. On Thursday at about 5 a.m. local time, U.S. Marshals took him into custody.

He’s facing his original domestic assault charge along with several more on the way.
