Pasco man charged with rape wanted for ditching his sentencing

PASCO, Wash. -- A Pasco man charged with rape is wanted for failing to show up to his sentencing hearing. 

Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers reported Tuesday that 43-year-old Jose Omana Azpeitia was charged with third-degree rape in Franklin County. 

He was scheduled to be sentenced in January but never showed up, court records show. 

Azpeitia is about 5-foot-6, 120 bounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including a cross on his right shoulder, "Jordan" on his right and left forearm, "Brandon" on his left shoulder and an eagle on his left forearm. 

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 509-586-8477 or submit a tip online. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
