Police respond to seven reports of illegal fireworks in east Kennewick Tuesday night

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick police tell KAPP-KVEW that they received seven separate reports of illegal firework activity on Tuesday night between 8:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.  

An officer we spoke with over the phone said that they didn't find any suspects, and that all the reports came from areas in east Kennewick. 

This officer said the reports were mostly for illegal aerial type of fireworks. 

In a statement, officers wrote on Facebook early Wednesday morning that conducted extra patrols in neighborhoods throughout Kennewick while responding to firework complaints. 

They add that firework fines in Kennewick can cost up to $500.
