Police search for man accused of ‘caressing' child's face at Kennewick store

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Officers are looking for a suspect who allegedly "caressed a small child's face" at a Kennewick store.

Around 12:10 p.m. Friday, Kennewick Police responded to a store near Clearwater Avenue and Union Street. Officers say the child's parents were in the checkout line. As they were paying, the man allegedly walked by, reached out and slowly slide his hand across the child's face.

Police say the child is under 10-years-old. The parents called 911 to report the incident. When officers looked at surveillance video, they witnessed what the parents told them.

Now, the Kennewick Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the man.
