Power outage in Yakima area impacting over 1,200 homes

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. - A major power outage is affecting more than 1250 homes in the Yakima area.

Pacific Power said the bulk of those customers are east of the Yakima River, although about 100 customers are without power near Yakima Valley Community College as well.

The outages were reported between 10 a.m. and noon.

Power is expected to be restored to those homes between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. this afternoon.

The cause of the outages has not been specified.
