Rock band Shinedown and Toyota Center partner to hold drive for homeless teens in Tri-Cities

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Bring a pair of socks or pack of bottled water to the Toyota Center and receive a discounted ticket to an upcoming rock show.

Shinedown is supporting a supply drive for My Friend's Place ahead of their concert with Papa Roach, Asking Alexandria and Savage After Midnight on Oct. 18 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

My Friends' Place, a program of Safe Harbor Support Center, helps homeless teens in the Tri-Cities. 

"It was something that Shinedown wanted to do," said Andy See, director of marketing at the Toyota Center. "They like to be involved in the communities they tour through so they brought it to us and we thought it was a great idea."

Through Oct. 17, anyone who brings a select item to the Toyota Center box office will receive $5 off the price of their ticket. 

Below is a list of items needed:

-bottled water/sports drinks

-non-perishable food

-otter pops/popsicles

-L/XL/XXL men's underwear/socks

-ladies' underwear/socks

-toilet paper/paper towels

-hand sanitizer

-Kleenex

-cleaning supplies/bleach

-trash bags

-air refreshener

The offer may only be redeemed in person at the Toyota Center box office. Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5p.m. Multiple discounted tickets require multiple items. The maximum discount per ticket is $5.
