Teen girl hospitalized after car vs. cow collision

YAKIMA, Wash. - A 21-year-old man is facing charges of driving with a suspended license after he hit a cow in the roadway on the Yakima Valley Highway just 4 miles from Toppenish city limits.
Washington State Patrol says 21-year-old Javier Diaz was driving east on the Yakima Valley Highway and 18-year-old Destiny Cannon was riding in the passenger seat when Diaz's grey 2002 Honda Civic collided with the cow.
Cannon was transported to Astria Toppenish Hospital with injuries.
Diaz's vehicle was totaled.
