YAKIMA, Wash. -- A Yakima man who was arrested in early September on child pornography and molestation charges is now accused of sexually abusing a dog, according to police.

Daniel Figueroa, 19, had been under investigation since April 2019 after Yakima police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about someone gaining access to child porn.

By late August, police had enough evidence to request a search warrant for Figueroa's home.

Police executed the search warrant and arrested Figueroa at his home on Sept. 3. They seized his cell phone, which contained numerous explicit photos and videos of children.

In an interview with police, Figueroa said that he would use apps on his phone to find child porn. He said he knew it was wrong to do, but that he could not help himself.

He also allegedly admitted to abusing a 5-year-old boy and recording himself with the victim.

After the arrest, court documents obtained by KAPP-KVEW say police found several photos of bestiality along with a video of a Boston Terrier licking a man's genitals. Based on past evidence, police said the video appears to have been made by Figueroa.

Figueroa is facing a first-degree animal cruelty charge in addition to his other charges.
