Yakima Sheriff: Armed robbery suspects bind employee's hands, flee with cash

Armed robbery suspects wanted

Yakima law enforcement is investigating an armed robbery that caused a major scare for two employees.

It all happened Thursday evening around 7:20 p.m. at the Big Wolf Mini Market on the corner of South Camas Avenue and Highway 97 just outside of Wapato.

Police say two men with bandanas on their face and hooded sweatshirts walked in - one with "some sort of a rifle," and the other with a crowbar.

They demanded the cash from the register and then made two employees go to the back room where they started to bind their hands.

That’s when a customer walked in and the suspects fled with the money.

Anyone with information on who they are should contact the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
