YAKIMA — Yakima Medical-Dental Clinic, 11th Avenue Family Medicine Clinic and Lincoln Avenue Medical-Dental Clinic are offering flu shots for patients and community members. You do not have to be a patient of these clinics to take advantage of the flu clinic hours.
"Now is the ideal time to get your flu shot," said Lori Kelley, Senior Director of Quality at the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic
Flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in the body about two weeks after vaccination, and these antibodies protect against infection.
Getting the vaccine is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older. People can stop by without an appointment and get a flu shot for $20. Below is a list of the dates, times, and locations of flu shot clinics.
