Nice Thursday ahead, but snow to rain/snow mix on the way Friday, with the Cascades getting 1 to 2 feet of new snow – Jason

Your Wednesday night local forecast - 1-8-20

Good Wednesday evening everyone!

More light rain for the Mid-Columbia tonight, with precipitation finally waning in the Northwest.   We’ll get a break tomorrow, but Friday looks to be wet, with Snow to Rain/Snow mix possible for our regions.

Friday into Saturday, there is a Winter Storm Watch for the Cascades and the Blue Mountains.  We could see one to two feet of snow in the Cascades, and 4 to 12 inches of snow in the Blues.  Yakima and Ellensburg could see 1 to 2 inches of snow Friday, and the Mid-Columbia we’ll see a trace amount, with rain/snow to rain dominating the Tri-Cities.

Overnight, lows will be around the freezing mark with partly cloudy skies.  Tomorrow, highs in the upper 30’s to lower 40’s with plenty of sunshine.

Do expect much cooler temps next week, with snow possible for our entire region.

Have a great evening!
