Not Seeing KAPP-KVEW or ME-TV? Here’s how to get it back

Customers may need to rescan their TV to receive KAPP-KVEW channels

KVEW TV, CHANNEL 42 is Moving Frequencies

If you watch KAPP-KVEW on Channel 42, using an antenna please take note: By law, nearly 1,000 TV stations nationwide must change frequencies to make room for wireless services. KVEW-TV, Channel 42, which serves south-central Washington and Northern Oregon from Kennewick changed frequencies on October 15.

What does this mean for you?

If you are using an antenna to watch KAPP-KVEW on Channel 42, you will need to rescan your TV to keep getting the programming of KAPP-KVEW. Once you rescan, you’ll still find us on Channel 42.

Rescanning is simple and requires no new equipment or services. Select “scan” or “autotune” from your TV or converter box menu. Instructions are often found by pressing the “set-up” or “menu” buttons on your remote control.

If you watch KAPP-KVEW on Channel 35 in the Yakima area, using an antenna, you do not need to rescan, as Channel 35 IS NOT changing frequencies.

If you watch KAPP-KVEW through a video translator or through cable or satellite, you do not need to rescan as your service provider should do it for you.
