Officials find body of missing teen in Yakima River

Officials have found the body of a missing Hanford High School student Sunday.

Authorities said they found the body of Dmetri Kennedy-Woody Sunday morning. He went missing after jumping into the Yakima River on Memorial Day in Richland.

Dmetri Kennedy-Woody, 18- years-old, jumped from a train bridge into the Yakima River with three of his friends. Unfortunately, he never resurface.

His body was found under the State Route 240 bridge around 10 a.m.

Benton County, Allen Water Rescue Services and Columbia Basin Dive Rescue were some of the agencies that helped search for Kennedy-Woody.
