Oregon firefighters head to California to assist with 2,000 acre Ranch Fire

The Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal announced Tuesday morning that several strike teams will be deployed to aid against the Ranch Fire burning in Red Bluff, California.

According to the statement, strike teams 3 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 will be headig to the 2,000 acre fire. Officials say the fire is currently 15% contained.

Firefighters are hard at work protecting homes, and officials say they are working 24 hour shifts.

The fire started on Sunday, and 1,037 fire personnel are currently involved.
