Oregon senator visits Pendleton flood survivors, first responders, volunteers
PENDLETON, Ore. — Sen. Ron Wyden made a trip to Pendleton over the weekend to meet with those impacted by the devastating flooding.
On Saturday, Sen. Wyden visited with first responders, Red Cross volunteers and local officials at the Emergency Operations Center. The next day, he made his way to the Riverside neighborhood, who sustained massive damage from the floodwaters.
Wyden spoke with officials about how the federal government can help with recovery.
Floodwaters impacted both Umatilla and Walla Walla counties. It claimed the life of one Umatilla County woman.
