Oregon woman assaults boyfriend because he left her dog out in the rain

MYRTLE POINT, Ore. – An Oregon woman went to jail for punching her boyfriend in the face because he left her dog out in the rain, deputies said.

The Coos County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Melissa Sue Morris on a domestic assault charge on Dec. 31.

Deputies said Morris punched her boyfriend in the face twice at a home on Miller Road on Myrtle Point, Oregon, leaving a marble-sized welt and a scratch on the victim’s right eyebrow.

Morris reportedly admitted to punching her boyfriend because he left her dog outside.
