Osprey Pointe Marketplace holds logo design contest
PASCO, Wash. — Osprey Pointe Marketplace, a marketplace and hub for commerce in the community, is coming to the Tri-Cities next year. Now, they’re asking artists in the area to show off their talent by designing the marketplace’s logo.
According to a press release issued by JMS Construction/JMS Development, the group behind Osprey Pointe Marketplace wants you to become a part of local history. Owner James Sexton is looking forward to seeing what local graphic designers can bring to the table.
“We want the logo to truly encompass the area, so one requirement of the design will be to include a local landmark,” Sexton said.
This logo will be used online, in print, signage and merchandise. Officials say that the logo must be flexible and able to be resized without issues so that it can work in any context. Additionally, it must work in full color and in black-and-white.
Beyond the bragging rights of having their design featured in a new, Pike Place-esque market in Pasco, the winner will receive $1,000 in cash for their work.
Entries may be submitted electronically or through a sketch design. If a sketch is selected as the winner, Osprey Pointe Marketplace will hire a professional graphic designed to recreate the image digitally.
To submit your entry electronically, you can email your file to email@example.com. If you plan to submit your sketch or design via mail, you may send it to the following address: Osprey Pointe Marketplace, 904 Ainsworth Avenue, Pasco, WA, 99301.
The contest will run for more than a month. All entries must be submitted by July 15, 2021, to be considered.
