Parking fees waived at all Oregon state parks for ‘Green Friday’
OREGON — The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is encouraging residents to ditch Black Friday shopping in exchange for “Green Friday” hiking.
According to the department, on November 29 all parking at state parks will be free.
Parking is already free at most state parks year round, except for these 25.
The wavier applies from open to close on November 29, except at Shore Acres State Park, where it expires at 3 p.m. for the Holiday Lights event that runs Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve.
