Pasco agencies team up to offer Utility and Rental Assistance Money
PASCO, Wash. — The events of the past year have been troublesome for many Pascoans, which is why three local organizations are teaming up to provide a lifeline for those in need.
The Franklin PUD, Columbia Basin Veterans Center and the City of Pasco are launching a joint effort to provide utility and rental assistance for community members facing financial hardships due to the pandemic. If you fit that description, you can reach out to any of the three organizations by calling any of these three phone numbers:
- Franklin PUD: 509-547-5591
- City of Pasco: 509-545-3488
- Columbia Basin Veterans Center: 509-545-6588
Franklin PUD Public Relations Director Mike Gonzalez expressed his thanks for the people who helped make this venture possible.
“This is a joint effort between multiple agencies to get this much-needed funding into the hands of our customers,” Gonzales said. “We all want the best for our customers and we’re grateful to Keith Johnson at Franklin County and Kyle Sullivan with Benton Human Services who worked with us on obtaining the funding through the American Rescue Plan.”
Additionally, Gonzales confirmed that you do not need to provide your social security number to become eligible for this assistance. Therefore, you do not need to be a U.S. citizen to become eligible for financial assistance in Pasco.
Once you call, you will be put in contact with a customer service representative who will be able to walk you through the steps necessary to file your application.
