Pasco city councilman pleads not guilty to child molestation
PASCO, Wash. — Pasco City Councilman Chi Flores pleaded not guilty to child molestation charges on Tuesday morning.
Flores, 38, is accused of inappropriately touching an 8-year-old girl on two separate occasions. His trial is set to begin on Sept. 6.
According to court documents, Flores touched the girl in her vaginal area once on Apr. 6 and again on Apr. 30.
He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison plus a $50,000 fine for each charge.
No bail has been set for Flores prior to his trial.
He was elected to the Pasco City Council in October 2016, making him the council’s newest sitting member.
