Pasco police capture armed felon, sex offender who was on Washington’s Most Wanted
PASCO, Wash. — Pasco police captured a convicted felon on Friday who was recently featured on the program “Washington’s Most Wanted.”
Police said Andrew Dubail, 28, ran a stop sign in a white Hyundai near North 18th Avenue and West Pearl Street around 12:40 p.m., then sped away from a traffic stop after a police officer pulled him over.
The officer did not chase the suspect because the traffic violation was minor, Sgt. Scott Warren said.
Shortly after, the suspect ran another stop sign and collided with car at North 20th Avenue and West Agate Street, then took off on foot. A different officer witnessed the crash and chased down the suspect.
The officer saw that Dubail had a gun, which he reportedly ditched while running away and jumping fences. Little did he know he was running toward the officer who originally pulled him over.
He was arrested without incident. No bystanders were injured.
An investigation revealed that Dubail is an unregistered sex offender and convicted felon with multiple warrants.
Additionally, police said the serial numbers on his gun had been removed and the license plates on his car were stolen.
Dubail was featured on Washington’s Most Wanted on Nov. 8. Police said he is from Snohomish County.
