Pasco Police Department to unveil toy patrol cars
To benefit Police Explorer Post
The Pasco Police Department is having some fun – unveiling toy replica patrol cars to benefit the Police Explorer Post.
This week, the department shared these images of the toy patrol vehicle on their Instagram page:
KAPP-KVEW reached out to the department to find out exactly when they will go on sale. Sergeant Pruneda tells us they will be available “in the next coming week.” The price point is still being decided. We will update this article when that information becomes available.
On their website, Pasco police describe the Police Explorer Post as being a way to offer young people with an interest in law enforcement an opportunity to to assist Pasco police with non-enforcement activities:
“The Pasco Police Explorer Post offers young people, between the ages of 15 and 20 years old, with an interest in law enforcement the opportunity to become familiar with law enforcement procedures. The Pasco Police Explorers was established as a service organization to assist the Pasco Police Department with activities such as crowd control, traffic control, community events and other non-enforcement activities.
To become a Pasco Police Explorer please complete and return the Explorer application. Explorer applications can be picked up at the Pasco Police Records counter located at 215 W Sylvester Street.”
