Pasco students head to National MESA competition
A team of Chiawana students are heading to National Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) Competition.
Three Chiawana High School sophomores will be heading to Philadelphia to compete in the National Engineering Design Competition.
Alexandria Cortez, Geovanni Beltran, and Lucio Rodriguez took first place in the MESA of Ardunio STEM Solutions Competition in Redmond, Washington May 19. It was the first time that a school swept all three categories at a state competition.
The Chiawana team will make their way to Temple University June 19 and will face schools from 10 other states.
The sophomores also won a regional MESA Day competition in April.
