Pasco woman gets 15 months for role in Michelle Hudnall murder case

PASCO, Wash. — A Pasco woman who acted as an accomplice in the murder of Michelle Hudnall, a local mother who was found dead along the Columbia River in July 2018, was sentenced Tuesday to 15 months in prison.

Guadalupe Sanchez, 27, pleaded guilty to rendering criminal assistance in Franklin County Superior Court earlier this month.

Court documents say Sanchez assisted Florentino Jai Castillo, 39, and Benny Lozano Jr, 27, in getting rid of Hudnall’s body. Castillo and Lozano Jr. are both awaiting trial after being charged with second-degree murder.

At her sentencing hearing, Sanchez apologized to Hudnall’s family but denied any involvement.

“I’m sorry for all this. I had nothing to do with it. I did not murder her. That’s all I have to say,” Sanchez said.

Sanchez was facing up to 20 months in prison for her crime.
