Phone lines knocked out after West Valley crash
WEST VALLEY, Wash. — Landlines in the West Valley area have been knocked out after a car crashed into a pole.
Around 12:42 p.m., firefighters were called to a single-car crash on 79th Avenue and Meadowbrook Road. They found one car in the ditch.
According to West Valley Fire Lt. Randy Gohl, the driver slid off the road and hit the guidewire around a power pole. The pole wasn’t damaged, but it knocked out landlines. Gohl said it’s unclear how many people in the area have no phone usage.
He added that power in the area could also be out. However, Pacific Power has not reported any outages.
The driver was not injured.
