Police find ounce of heroin, meth inside motel manager’s room
MOSES LAKE, Wash. — A motel manager was arrested after she ordered pizza for a drug party with stolen credit card information, according to a police report.
On Monday, an Arizona man who previously stayed at the Imperial Motel called police to report someone had used his credit card to order pizza.
An investigation revealed Brandi Smithers, 28, had used the victim’s information to order pizza to her room, police said.
There, police found about an ounce of heroin, some meth, stolen pizzas, stolen credit card information and a large collection of drug paraphernalia. There were also three people inside her room.
One man walked out of the room with a bloody arm. He told officers “he had been trying to finish up shooting heroin before coming out,” police said.
Smithers was booked at the Grant County Jail on charges of meth possession, heroin possession, forgery and second-degree theft.
Police also searched Smithers’ room on Dec. 1 of last year as part of a drug trafficking investigation. They recovered an unknown amount of meth and heroin.
“In that case, the ‘customers’ were not to be deterred by the presence of police officers, and continued to knock on the hotel door trying to buy drugs, only to be arrested by the officers inside,” police said.
The Moses Lake Police Department is continuing its investigation with hopes to put an end to ongoing criminal activity at the Imperial Motel, particularly by its employees.
Additional charges are currently pending.
