Police recover stolen property from underground campsite
KENNEWICK, Wash. — Three people are in custody on suspicion of stealing multiple items and storing them at an underground campsite.
Deyonna Senn, 47, Eldon Cooper, 46, and Randy Kidder, 28, were arrested Tuesday on charges of trespassing and possession of stolen property. They’ve been booked into Benton County Jail.
Officers tracked down a GPS receiver stolen during a vehicle prowl. It was still active and led police to the campsite near railroad tracks in the 900 block of W. Canal Drive where three transients were staying.
The campsite was discovered beneath the ground, covered with dirt and grass held up by plastic tarps and scrap wood.
Police served a search warrant for the campsite and found several other stolen items.
